Dry Creek Baptist Church is a Southern
Baptist affiliate and was organized February 19, 1915 with 21 charter members. The first church building was 30'
x 38' and services were held once a month. In 1920 with 92 members, we joined the Strong River Baptist Association.
As membership increased we built
a new building that was 30' x 36' with 2 Sunday School rooms on each side. Services were now being held twice
a month, but in 1940 we began to have services twice on Sunday and to have Wednesday night prayer meeting.
By 1981, we began to have the need for more room and on
January 5 the present Sanctuary was begun that was to be 40' x 100' with a 10' porch. On October 24, 1982
we held our first service and dedicated the new Sanctuary to the service of God. By now our membership had increased
to 424 members.
In 1987, we began
the building of our Family Life center. It was to be 60' x 120'. On November 22, 1987 we dedicated this
building to the Service of God. With this addition our total church property was valued at $375,000. The old building was later
removed and replaced by a 2 story Educational Facility. Membership approached 500 at that time.
Since then, God has blessed us even more with spiritual growth as well as financial and physical blessings. We have
renovated our sanctuary and updated our technology to best minister to our congregation. We invite you to become a part of
the church today and a piece of its history tomorrow.

sanctuary after renovation.
